Easter Portraits with Live Bunny!
I will start booking appointments the weekend of Feb 13th and will probably shoot with the bunnies for 4-6 weeks. Easter is April 4th, 2010 so only those who book within the first few weeks AND schedule a proof appointment by March 15th will have their pictures guaranteed back by Easter. I will continue shooting as long as there is a demand, but your orders may not be back until after Easter. I have two bunnies. Zander is king bunny. He's very gentle and calm and I use him for all of my shoots. For the most part he remains in an Easter basket but for older children (usually age 5 and older) I will let him out so they can hold him. Peanut is smaller and softer. Here's How it Works: BOOKING RETAINERS I will collect a booking retainer in order to secure a session. See below for the session fees and the four program options which would determine your purchasing investment. There will be fees if you have to cancel OR reschedule for any reason. Fees are listed at the bottom of this web page. Please make sure you are able to commit to the session prior to booking so that you don't incur any fees and so I can plan my days with confidence and don't turn other clients away from that session slot for no reason.
SESSION INFO: Sessions will last approximately one hour. I will start the session by taking Easter portraits first without the bunny. Please have them dressed as casual or formal as you wish. You can change outfits if you like before we do the bunny pictures. If they are old enough to understand, we can motivate them to cooperate by telling them they cannot see the bunny until we get a nice Easter portrait first!
I will then introduce the bunny, Zander, by placing him in the Easter basket. The children will be able to sit next to him and pet him. If we have mulitple children, then they each get a turn sitting next to the bunny, or they can both/all pet him at once. Moms, please let me know if you want individuals of each child during this part of the session, but read on first! One of my signature shots is of each child lying on his/her belly, scooching up close to the basket and giving the bunny a kiss on his nose. The bunny is very friendly and doesn't bite. He loves kisses! Sometimes the children are a little weary of doing this... either timid about putting their face close to the bunny or many say that his fur tickles them! This is sooooo worth the effort, because if we do get the children to kiss the bunny, it's such a great, sweet shot! (I ususally find myself on my belly demonstrating for the kids so they can see how easy and fun it is!)
The next step is to let the child/children offer the bunny a carrot. This bunny isn't always hungry so sometimes we have to stage this. But if he grabs hold of the carrot, the expressions on the faces of the kids are so great!

A "proof" is the image presented to you in a preview sales session. It is a 3X5 print that is used as a sales tool, but is available to purchase "as is" with no retouching or enhancements at a discounted price of $3 each. A "unit"is a combination of multiple prints, but all from the same pose A "(2) 5X7 unit" is 2-5X7 prints of the same pose A "(3) 4X6 unit" is 3-4X6 prints of the same pose A "combo unit" is a combination of multiple prints in different sizes, but still all from the same pose: A "5X7 combo unit" is either a 5X7 and 4 wallets, or a 5X7 and 2-3X5 prints A "wallet combo unit" is either 8-wallets, or 4-wallets and 2-3X5 prints
SAMPLE COMPOSITE AND STORYBOARD Here are samples of a composite and a storyboard. A 12x18 composite with 5 photos as pictured below is included in the Ricochet Rabbit Package. The storyboard shown is a 10x20 with 3 photos and text, which retails for $145. Any composite or storyboard on any size print, with various mounting options and any number of photos is an option to purchase during our proofing appointment.

PAYMENT OPTIONS: Booking retainers must be paid immediately upon booking. Most of the time bookings are done on the phone after a consultation so I usually take a credit card. There are processing fees involved with all payments not made in cash. Please see below. Checks. I submit all checks electronically through ACH - Automated Clearing House. The processing fee is passed on, but is only $1.50 per payment, regardless of the amount of the transaction. Once you have paid by check, any future payments can be done remotely and don't require you to write any additional checks. Credit Cards. I accept visa, mastercard, discover and amex. Processing fees are passed on and calculated as follows. 35 cent transaction fee plus 3.25% of payment amount (3.75% for Amex). Generally it is only cheaper to pay with a credit card if the payment is less than $35. CANCELLATIONS OR RESCHEDULING: $25 Reschedule Fee. If you have to reschedule for ANY reason, you will incur a non-refundable $25 fee which will be deducted from your retainer and your portion due at the time of your rescheduled session will increase by $25. $50 Cancellation Fee. If you have to cancel your appointment for ANY reason, you will incur a $50 cancellation fee. The balance of your retainer will remain as a credit with Sue's Point of View to be used at a future session. The amount of credit will diminish by 25% each year that it is not utilized.
